The newest edition to the ASSA product offering, the Twin V-10, offers virtually unlimited keyways to the end-user on a geographically exclusive basis. Brand new patents assure each user of protection against unauthorized key duplication and, when combined with the physical security of a U.L. listing, the result is uncompromising control. The Twin V-10 has master keying capabilities of up to 170,000 changes.

CERTIFICATION and PATENTS

ASSA Twin/V-10 cylinders are listed in accordance to the standards of U.L. 437 for pick and drill resistance and protected by one or more of the United States utility patents or patents pending.

Materials:	Cylinder housing and inner plug are manufactured from high quality brass. Pins are stainless stell and nickel silver.
Tolerances:	Precision machining insures smooth, positive operation and extended cylinder life.
Drill Resistance:	In addition to stainless steel side and tumbler pins, case-hardened drill inserts are embedded in the cylinder plug and housing
Pick Resistance:	Two independent shear lines help assure optimum pick resistance. "False" grooves in the side pins catch the sidebar when improperly positioned. When rotational force is applied, the spool drivers are caught by countermilling in the plug.
Keys:	Manufactured from quality nickel silver. The rounded back facilitates smoother operation and minimizes wear. The large key bow simplifies key identification and can be used by manually impaired people. Guaranteed for life against breakage under normal operating conditions.

ASSA Twin V-10 Cylinders are available in five different forms:
COMP (complete)	Keyed-different items include two cut keys per cylinder.
KBC (key blank credit)	Keyed-alike items normally include two cut keys per cylinder.
SUB (sub-assembled)	Uncombinated cylinder includes sidebar mechanism, but no tumbler pins.
SNS (sub, no-sidebar)	Uncombinated cylinder without sidebar springs. Include sidepins, sidepin, tailpiece and pin chamber closure.
Componenets	Cylinder parts and keys purchased seperately.

All cylinders shall be Twin V-10 Series as manufactured by ASSA High Security Locks, Brooklyn, New York. Cylinders shall be listed under the requirements of U.L. 437 for pick and drill resistance. Cylinders shall incorporate two or more independent locking mechanisms which shall include 6 pin tumblers capable of accomidating master, grand master and great grand master keying. Mushroom shaped driver pins in all chambers with selected counter-milled chambers with selected counter-milled chambers shall engage the lip of a mushroom pin in the case of any attempt at picking. In addition, cylinders shall incorporate a coded sidebar locking mechanism which operates independently of the pin tumblers. Sidebars shall be milled from nickel-silver and shall be capable of forming mulitiple keyways.

Coded sidepins shall be stainless stell. Sidepins shall be capable of masterkeying which is independent of the pin tumblers. The sidepins shall be V shaped at the bottom and capable of placement at either the left or right side of a double cute in each of the five positions milled on the side of the keyblank. Interation between the sidebar and sidepins shall yield at least 75,000 different combinations. Sidepins shall provide additional pick resistance in the form of "false" grooves for the sidebar around each pin. Cylinders shall incorporate hardened or case hardened components to protect against drilling attacks as follow: housing shall contain fixed-in-place case hardened inserts to protect the pin tumbler shear line. The cylinder plug shall contain case hardened inserts to protect the pin tumbler shear line and sidebar. Mushroom-shaped driver pins shall be of stainless stell. Bottom pins shall be of nickel silver.
